Delivery Vehicles
All DataBank vehicles are specially modified for data transport. Vehicles are UNMARKED late model, company owned, company insured and fully serviced to avoid unnecessary breakdown.
Vehicle security is enhanced with remote central locking and engine immobilisers. On request vehicles are fitted with satellite tracking and 2 way radio (back to base) communication.
Vehicles carry fire extinguishers for fire protection.
Back to base communications allow co-ordination of emergencies or special deliveries.
Vehicles have cargo bay air-conditioning and full “refrigeration” style insulation to reduce environmental variation between onsite and offsite conditions. (Tapes transported in normal “courier style” vehicles are exposed to severe temperature fluctuations which is a major cause of tape failure). |
