Managed Services for Co-location and Regional Sites
Many DataBank clients have tape drives / libraries at co-location data centres or at regional sites that may not have trained IT staff permanently onsite. DataBank offers a tape rotation service that includes ejecting tapes from tape drives / libraries and reinserting blank or rotation media sets, as appropriate.
Regional and Remote Office Services
Many DataBank clients have data centres in major cities with regional / remote offices. DataBank offers a unique service to centralise regional backup tapes, enhancing clients' DR procedures and improving visibility and control over national tape media sets.
Customised Services
Many larger DataBank clients have audit requirements far beyond a simple tape delivery and pickup. DataBank can customise a solution to meet any audit requirement. No matter how strange you think the request is, just call us. Chances are it is not strange at all to us. Examples of this are direct visits to and from your site to ours, twin vehicle deliveries, twin driver deliveries, transport in premium cases, complete logging and tracking of deliveries, secure fixing of media in transit, daily verification of tape movements and exceptions via email, monthly physical audits and results, physically locked and logged separation of media within our vaults, vehicle tracking, two way radio contact, and live datafeeds from mobile devices, etc.

- De-gaussing, destruction and recycling -- the removal of data and "white noise" from used media. Satisfying audit destruction requirements.

- Cleaning, re-certification and recycling -- allow us to clean and re-tension your archive tapes every year to maintain your data quality. We can also clean and re-condition/certify existing media to an as-new condition.
- DR Equipment Storage - DataBank has secure facilities to store recovery servers, backup devices, peripherals, documentation/procedures and furniture. Without backward compatible software and hardware, or the creation of software and hardware, archived data cannot be restored.
