Traditional methods of manual dockets to manage tape movements have proven to be inadequate for a range of reasons, including: increased human error, inability to perform efficient, accurate audits, difficult to find information and track movements, inaccurate billing information, as well as slowing down the interface between client and supplier at all levels.

DataBank Online™ has been built by DataBank in-house developers over the past 7 years to improve both DataBank’s operational systems and our clients overall experience. Unlike other software, DataBank Online™ was developed with the sole purpose of highly secure offsite tape storage services. Tape tracking software enables our clients to check what tapes are offsite via the web and request their return online. Tapes can be viewed by any field including number, title, date, return date, last date requested, etc. Tapes are checked into and out of the vault by barcode for added security and accuracy.

There are over 200 functions within the software program. The audit and data capture capability of the software increases clients ability to meet Compliance regulations, numerous modules have been built specifically with Sarbanes Oxley requirements in mind.
